Carol Guzy: Hugo Shong Award for Lifetime Achievement Recipient

In 2022, the College of Communication awarded veteran photojournalist Carol Guzy its Hugo Shong Award for Lifetime Achievement. The award is presented to journalists for excellence in international reporting on issues related to Asia. Guzy was on campus November 1 to receive the award and discuss her work documenting wars and disasters, as well as survival and inspiration, with Greg Marinovich (right), a COM master lecturer. Don’t Look Away, an exhibition of Guzy’s images from battle zones, is on display on the COM lawn through November 6. Photo by Jackie Ricciardi
