Photo of Kilachand sophomore Hanna Dworkin (CAS’24) holding a painting she made that will be presented to Dr. Kilachand in Abu Dhabi. In the painting, you see the Boston skyline as seen from Kilachand during sunset--the buildings are orange and the sky is blue. A small title in the left corner of the painting reads "views from the Kilachand Honors College". Dworkin wears a pink face mask and has long dirty blonde hair.

A Thank-You Gift for Rajen Kilachand

Kilachand Honors College student Hannah Dworkin (CAS’24) with her painting of the Boston skyline, presented to Rajen Kilachand (Questrom’74, Hon.’14) on March 6 in Dubai, where he hosted BU’s International Advisory Board meeting. Kilachand’s gift of $25 million in 2011 established the Arvind & Chandan Nandlal Kilachand Honors College, named for his parents, and his $10 million donation renovated Kilachand Hall the next year. Dworkin painted the scene from Kilachand Hall’s ninth floor study lounge. “It’s almost like a little gift from all the Kilachand students here, saying: ‘We wish you were here. We miss you. We thank you for all you’ve done,’” says Dworkin, whose work has been exhibited at the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. Photo courtesy of Carrie Preston
