Deprecating a Block

Deprecating a Block

We’ll address this in the future as the need comes up. At the moment, we only have a few blocks that were built with API 1 that need deprecation. Current block work (2025) targets API 2 (WP 5.8)

Forthcoming v1 deprecations:

  • bu-prepress/src/blocks/event-details/deprecated.js
  • bu-blocks/src/blocks/introparagraph/deprecated.js
  • bu-blocks/src/blocks/button/deprecated.js

See Block API Reference: Deprecation
