Valerie Coleman (CFA’95) of New York, N.Y., writes, “My work Seven O’Clock Shout was featured by the Philadelphia Orchestra for Carnegie Hall’s opening night gala. Later in the season, the Philadelphia Orchestra premiered a new song cycle that I wrote for Metropolitan Opera star Angel Blue. In October 2021, Boston University Tanglewood Institute premiered my latest work written just for the program, called Ashé.”
