Tomi Hughes Morris
Tomi Hughes Morris (COM’83) of Wilmington, Del., earned a master’s degree in strategic communications for digital and social media from the University of Delaware in May 2023. “I was one of the oldest students in my class; many classmates were not born when I finished my BS at BU in 1983,” she writes. “I told my classmates that I am coming back to graduate with another degree in 2033—I like years that end in threes!” Tomi is director of programs and communications for the Delaware Health Care Facilities Association. She dedicates her latest degree “to all of us who are systematically ignored by hiring screeners or weed-out bots, victims of ageism, no matter how highly qualified we are for the position.” You can email her at tomimorris10@gmail.com.
