Sarah Sherman

Sarah Sherman (MET’09) of Southport Island, Maine, is director of strategic partnerships for the Maine Bureau
of Veterans’ Services. She recently completed a six-month, 105-page  needs assessment, titled “Oral Health Access for Maine’s Veterans.” She also cowrote award-winning submissions for the 2020 and 2019 US Department of Veterans Affairs’ Abraham Lincoln Pillar of Excellence Awards for the bureau’s work to end veteran homelessness, and cofounded the Maine Justice Action Committee. Sarah is an advocate in Veterans’ Treatment Court, and founded a veterans writing group at the Kennebec County Jail.
