Samantha Pickette (COM’15, GRS’22) of Austin, Tex., published Peak TV’s Unapologetic Jewish Woman: Exploring Jewish Female Representation in Contemporary Television Comedy (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022). The book analyzes the ways in which shows such as Broad City, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are establishing a new take on Jewish female identity that challenges old stereotypes
