Philip Appel

Philip Appel (SSW’76) of Silver Spring, Md., retired as director emeritus of the MedStar National Rehabilitation Network department of psychology after 36 years. Throughout his career, Philip published nine refereed journal articles and six book chapters on the use of hypnosis in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is former president of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and taught workshops for 30 years on hypnotically mediated psychotherapy. Email him at philip_appel@yahoo.com.
