Patricia Tanumihardja

Patricia Tanumihardja (MET’00) of Springfield, Va., published Mortar and Pestle: Classic Indonesian Recipes for the Modern Kitchen (Weldon Owen, 2024) with Juliana Evari Suparman. Patricia is a children’s book and cookbook author of Indonesian descent who grew up in Singapore and later emigrated to Seattle, Wash. In Mortar and Pestle, her fifth cookbook, she explores the recipes and techniques of her mother, Julia, through dishes like black pepper squid, coconut rice, and beef rendang.
