Michele Caniato
Michele Caniato (CFA’98) of Watertown, Mass., a composer, was commissioned by Kammerwerke Double Woodwind Quintet to write a dectet for winds, called Landscapes, which premiered at First Parish in Bedford, Mass., in June 2019. He spent September as composer fellow at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Saratoga, Wyo. In October, he was invited to the 53rd Contemporary Music Festival at Indiana State University, where his work, Introduzione e Siciliana, was performed by the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra as the winner of the 2019 Orchestra Composition Contest.
