Marcia Karp

Marcia Karp (UNI’96,’02) of Waban, Mass., writes that her new book, If by Song (Lily Poetry Review Books, 2021), “is a poetry of loneliness, grief, love, joy, and self-confrontation. Its music comes as much from movement of mind and feeling as from its technical and syntactic inventiveness.” Marcia has published poems and translations in journals and anthologies, including The Times Literary Supplement and Partisan Review. She taught at BU after earning a master’s degree and PhD from the University.
