Lauren Shea

Lauren Shea (Wheelock’00) of Bethesda, Md., released new online educational resources and lesson plans designed to help teachers and students around the country understand and process the magnitude of the pandemic and its impact on them, their communities, the nation, and the world. They were created in collaboration with artist Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg and American University colleague Jody Hagen-Smith. The curriculum, available for download, is built around Firstenberg’s art exhibition In America: Remember, which honored the nation’s collective loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
