Karen Harris

Karen Harris (Wheelock’92) of Boston, Mass., and Stephan Ellenwood were awarded a 2022 National Endowment for the Humanities grant to direct a summer institute for high school teachers at BU. The program, Friendship and Identity in Literature, Film, and Adolescence, examined how friendships among adolescents are portrayed in a vast array of perspectives. Karen is the only independent scholar to be awarded this grant.
