Joy Huber

Joy Huber (MET’18) of Milford, Neb., launched a podcast, Dose of Joy, in October 2021 for those facing cancer or those supporting someone in cancer treatment. A new episode of the free podcast, available on Spotify, is available every Sunday; episodes include stories and information from Joy’s book, Cancer with Joy: How to Transform Fear into Happiness and Find the Bright Side Effects (Morgan James Publishing, 2012). She also shares information on hair loss and managing cancer and a career. Joy was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2010, when she was only 33 years old. She underwent three years of chemotherapy. “While no one’s happy they have cancer, you can have cancer and still be happy,” she writes.
