John Arsenault

John Arsenault (CAS’96) of Reno, Nev., along with Eric Wade Jones, published Corona-ku: A Quarantined Conversation in Haiku (Fulton Books, 2021) under the name John Mont Chateau. The two began a conversation in haiku over Facebook in the spring of 2020, as a way to cope with the challenges of the coronavirus quarantine. “The world needs more art,” John writes. “When life gets hard, haiku.” John teaches English at Procter R. Hug High School in Reno.
