Jay Ruderman

Jay Ruderman (LAW’93) of Newton Lower Falls, Mass., president of the Boston-based Ruderman Family Foundation, was honored with the SAG-AFTRA Disability Awareness Award at the Media Access Awards in Beverly Hills. The Ruderman Family Foundation is a strong advocate for disability inclusion in Hollywood. In 2019, Ruderman continued its campaign to improve the portrayal of disabilities in entertainment and to increase the number of roles that cast actors with disabilities. The foundation also launched its Seal of Authentic Representation, which is awarded when TV or film projects feature actors with disabilities in substantial speaking roles.
