Herman O. Kelly, Jr.
Herman O. Kelly, Jr. (STH’83) of Baton Rouge, La., had four first-place finishes in the Southern Masters Virtual Swimming Meet. The competitors were timed at their local swimming site and the times were recorded. Herman was the seventh-place overall point scorer in the male division. He swims for Crawfish Aquatics in Baton Rouge. This is his first award in the masters swimming program. He has already qualified for the National Senior Games, to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., May 10 to 23, 2022, representing the state of Louisiana. Herman is the pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge and an adjunct faculty member in African American studies and education at Louisiana State University.
