George Wolkon
George Wolkon (GRS’63) of Pacific Palisades, Calif., an emeritus clinical professor of psychiatry and the behavioral sciences at the University of Southern California, published What’s A Girl Gonna Do? (FriesenPress, 2014), a humorous tale of the complications of gender discrimination that arise when a sensitive girl plays high school football. He says that unlike his professional writing, this short novel is aimed at early teens, although some adults (his brother and cousin) think it is a fast, fun read for grown-ups.
