Esther (Mazera) Kisaghu

Esther (Mazera) Kisaghu (SPH’06) of Nairobi, Kenya, published a new edition of her memoir, The Triumph of My Life: Domestic Violence and Society’s Thundering Silence (Xulon Press, 2014). “In my writing, I seek to advocate for victims and equip them with tools and information that will help them lead violence-free lives,” she writes. “I seek to change society as we all join hands to tackle this public health problem. For all who helped me...in my healing journey, as I battled the negative effects of domestic violence, I will always hold you dear to my heart.” Esther is founder of the Rose Foundation, a domestic violence prevention and intervention organization in Nairobi.
