Deborah Farmer Kris
Deborah Farmer Kris (Wheelock’98, CAS’98) of Holliston, Mass., was listed in The Week’s “Best Parenting Advice” for her November 2021 Washington Post article, “The Power of Awe.” Deborah is a child development expert, a columnist for PBS KIDS for Parents, and an education journalist for MindShift, an NPR learning blog. Since 1998, she has also served as an associate scholar at the Boston University Center for Character & Social Responsibility, offering professional development to educators nationwide. Deborah is the founder of Parenthood365, a child development resource for parents and educators. Her children’s book series, All the Time (Free Spirit Publishing), debuted in February 2022. She coauthored Building Character in Schools Resource Guide (Jossey-Bass, 2001).
