David A. Reed

David A. Reed (GRS’78) of Unionville, Ontario, Canada, was this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Pentecostal Studies. He was recognized primarily for his seminal work on Oneness Pentecostalism (nontrinitarian). His book, In Jesus’ Name: The History and Beliefs of Oneness Pentecostals (Deo Publishing, 2008), began as his PhD dissertation at BU. He has continued to study and publish on various aspects of the Oneness global movement, especially the True Jesus Church (China) and the Apostolic Church of Ethiopia. He is a professor emeritus of pastoral theology and a research professor at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, and president of Kairos International University. David is deeply grateful for the guidance of his professors at the BU School of Theology and department of religion.
