Carol Gordon Ekster

Carol Gordon Ekster (Wheelock’73,’78) of Andover, Mass., published her newest children’s book, Trucker Kid (Capstone Publishing, 2023), about Athena, who is proud of her trucker father but misunderstood by her classmates for her enthusiasm about his career. “In addition to highlighting an often overlooked career, this book shows how attitudes can be changed through education,” Carol writes. “Athena explains about trucking, and they listen and understand rather than making fun of her.” Email her at cekster@aol.com.
