Barry Wanger
Barry Wanger (COM’80) of Newton Center, Mass., published his first book, Arnold Hiatt: Turning Business Into a Force for Good (Lulu Publishing Services, 2020), a biography of a former CEO of Stride Rite who was considered by many to be the most progressive corporate executive of the last half of the 20th century. Hiatt, Barry writes, was a social and political activist and philanthropist “who used his bully pulpit to call for corporate support of early childhood education and social issues decades before others.” Barry recently retired as founder and president of Wanger Associates. He taught a PR for nonprofits course at BU’s College of Communication as an adjunct professor.
