Amber Nelson

Amber Nelson (COM’94) of Lake Stevens, Wash., began a new role in November as executive director of the Idaho Coalition for Safe Healthcare. The coalition is a physician advocacy organization launched after the repeal of Roe v. Wade that advocates for healthcare and provides medical expertise to lawmakers at the state level. Amber has been involved in reproductive rights and healthcare since college, when she interned at the National Abortion Rights Action League and the Massachusetts State House. She previously held leadership roles at Teladoc Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Planned Parenthood. Alums involved in healthcare and policy can reach her at amberdn@gmail.com.
