Allison Applebaum
Allison Applebaum (GRS’05,’11) of New York, N.Y., published Stand By Me: A Guide to Navigating Modern, Meaningful Caregiving (Simon Element, 2024), her first work of narrative nonfiction. Allison established Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s dedicated clinical care service for family caregivers, the first program of its kind in the country. “Over the past 13 years, my work has focused broadly on addressing the profound mental health challenges faced by family caregivers and developing support programs for caregivers worldwide,” she writes.
