Albert Diaz (MET’93) of Charlotte, N.C., was elevated to chief judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in July 2023, after 13 years as a federal judge. “The work remains fascinating, and I’m so blessed to work with colleagues who value and model collegiality,” he writes.
