Alan Shawn Feinstein

Alan Shawn Feinstein (DGE’50, COM’52) of Cranston, R.I., heads the Feinstein Foundation, a charitable foundation he started 30 years ago. He has raised more than $2 billion for nonprofit agencies across the country fighting hunger. Colleges at the University of Rhode Island and Roger Williams University are named for him, and 181 Rhode Island and Massachusetts public and parochial schools are known as Feinstein Leadership Schools, committed to having their students, known as Feinstein Jr. Scholars, doing good deeds for those in need.
