Women Rock at BU Central
The Andwutz, Leah King, and Kali Giaritta will be at BU Central for Women Rock on Thursday, March 1. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Punk, soul, and acoustic rock meet at BU Central on Thursday, March 1, for Women Rock, a concert that features female musicians and benefits the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center.
The Andwutz, a five-member female punk band from Waltham, Mass., will be joined by New York City’s Leah King, an acoustic, soul, and R & B musician, and Kali Giaritta, a local singer-songwriter.
Women Rock, a global event hosted by the BU Women’s Center, raises money for local and international organizations that provide services to women. All proceeds from the event are donated to a charity; this year’s will benefit the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. While BU Central events are free to students with a valid BU ID, a $7 donation is requested.
