Meet Lauren Aguilar
Lauren Aguilar would like to join the Marching Band and Pep Band when she starts at BU.

Major: Biology with a minor in Spanish
What convinced you to go to BU?
The city itself is just a great college town, but also the urban setting on Commonwealth Avenue and the scenic setting on Bay State Road were huge influences.
What are you most excited about coming to college?
Starting a new life with new people in a new place. Everything is going to be new!
What courses are you most interested in taking?
Lots of science courses, Spanish courses, and English — the basic three that I love.
What kinds of activities are you interested in becoming involved in?
I’m planning on doing Marching Band and Pep Band. But I’d also like to try and take some salsa dancing classes, cooking classes, and maybe some gym activities like kickboxing or something.
What will you miss most about home?
Beautiful downtown Annapolis. It’s just so gorgeous and quaint. Also of course the family and the few good friends, but mostly just the everyday interaction with my parents, sister, and dog.
What’s one interesting thing about yourself?
I lived in South America from the time I was six months old until I was seven years old. We lived in Chile, Argentina, El Salvador, and Colombia. It was a great experience.
